Rewards of William Shakespeare To Me
I was in National Bookstore in SM Bacoor last November 29,2012. I'm roaming around the store then I stopped at the section of Literature Works. I was looking for all the books of Shakespeare and Dante Alighierie because I want to list the titles.
When I was to get the book of A Midsummer Nights Dream by Shakespeare, I got it with another hand. I let the other one got it. Then, when I looked at him, I was stunned. But, his face made me confused. I thought I already knew him.
Then he asked me, "I'm so glad that there is still a student who's fond of reading my books". Something came into my mind "...reading my books?". It simply means, Is he William? I'm so speechless. He asked me to eat with him at Greenwich. I felt so glad when he invited me. A very memorable experience to be remembered.
He ordered a big box of Hawaiian Pizza. Then we talked. He told me, he's so happy that a girl like me, appreciate his works. I smiled at him. I really can't imagine that he's talking with me. He told me to say something about his works. At first, I told him that the reason why I'm reading his books is because we are obligued to read for our literature in English. He asked me if I'm just forced to read his books. I said I'm not because the stories are really interesting. I told him the stories I have read already. I said the books: Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar, The Tempest, Hamlet, Comedy of Errors, and Much ado About Nothing. He told me that there are still many books that I'm not reading yet.
When we finished eating, we went again to National Bookstore. We went to Literature Section. He got all the books he wrote and he paid them in the counter. We went outside and said that the books were his rewards to me as a reader. He told me to let others read his books and if by chance, he'll give them books also. Then, I went home. *The End*
